Gray Wolf Track
Gray Wolf Track
Porcelain, Terra Sigillata
2014

A real Gray Wolf Track. This animal track was found near Pacific Creek in Grand Teton National Park 2007. It is the right front paw of a large male Gray Wolf. Because of its size it is very possible it was the alpha male of the Pacific Creek pack. The track was taken in the spring using plaster and this clay impression was made from the original plaster mold. Wolves were reintroduced to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in 1995, the Pacific Creek Pack was one of the first to live in Grand Teton and thrives there to this day.
